As I am sure you are aware, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has been pushing for mandating vaccinations of nursing home staff. Getting vaccinated will help protect you, your families and the residents you care for from the severity of COVID-19. The CMS mandate is now a reality.
CMS now requires all nursing facility staff to be vaccinated
December 5th – every staff member must have at least their first dose by December 5, 2021
January 4th – every staff member must have their second dose by January 4, 2022
Fully vaccinated staff will receive $100
Staff Town Hall Meetings – staff meetings to discuss this mandate and answer questions about the vaccine. Details and dates to come.
Vaccine clinics – we will be setting up free vaccine clinics twice per week. Details and dates to come.
Religious exemption – if you would like to apply for a religious exemption, please speak to your Administrator.
Medical exemption – if you would like to apply for a medical exemption, please speak to your Administrator.
Proof of vaccination – your proof of vaccination card will be copied into our tracking system.
Refusal of vaccination – if you do not wish to be vaccinated, and you do not meet the requirements of the religious or medical exemptions, you will no longer be able to be employed at our facility.
